To install the fconvert binary for IRIX, Solaris, and Linux, please install 
the binary from the web page to a location that will be in the users 
path (e.g /usr/local/bin).

For Windows, please unzip the tools.zip file in a directory of your choosing.

If you wish to use the format convert java GUI, make sure that the 
TOOLS_PATH setting in the .fisproperites file is set to the directory 
where you installed the fconvert binary.

As a note for Mac OSX users, please set your FIS_CSH_SHELL property 
to /bin/bash so the FormatConvert GUI can run the fconvert binary.
